Dinosaur swam, fossilized tracks show

Fossilized tracks evidence that dinosaurs swam (Reuters)

This sketch shows how a meat-eating theropod dinosaur might have looked swimming in the shallow waters of a lake. Researchers writing in the journal Geology described finding in northern Spain fossilized foot marks apparently left by such a dinosaur on the lake bed, scratching the lake bottom with clawed feet. These tracks provide strong evidence that at least some dinosaurs were good swimmers, the scientists said.
